| Kathi Kubik Geringer was born in Omaha and grew up in the Dundee/Happy Hollow area. In 1981, during her sophomore year at Central High School, Kathi and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating from high school in Phoenix, Kathi attended Grand Canyon University and Phoenix College. In 1993, longing for the Midwest way of life, the old architecture and the familiar neighborhoods, Kathi moved back to Omaha. A traditionalist with primitive style, Kathi paints affectionate portraits of Omaha memories. Her work is rich in detail, full of homes, churches, landmarks, and traditions. Kathi's commissioned works include the 100 year anniversary of Joslyn Castle, Dundee School anniversary, Harrison School's 150 year anniversary, and Westside Community Schools. Married to Dr. John Geringer, Kathi is the proud mother of two daughters, Rachel and Sarah. |
